Greensboro Mourns Loss of Former Baseball Player Quinn Finnegan
Former Greensboro College baseball player Quinn Finnegan passed away after being involved in a car accident on Thursday in Vermont. Finnegan suited up for The Pride in 2010 and 2011 after transferring from Louisburg Community College. He was named to the USA South All-Conference First Team as a senior.
Greensboro head coach Matt Aker issued the following statement:
"I and the baseball family at Greensboro College were stunned at the loss of one of our most dear teammates. Quinn, to all who knew him, was a trusted friend, fierce competitor and clubhouse leader. He had the ability to make you smile, no matter how your day was going. His passing is a huge loss to our team and one that will be felt for a long time."
In remembrance, The Pride will wear Finnegan's favorite four leaf clover image and jersey number (#9) on their hats for the upcoming 2013 season.
