LaGrange's Carter Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

(LAGRANGE, GA) - Junior linebacker Andre Carter was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his play against Maryville. Carter was one of four linebackers nationally selected to the team.

Carter was also selected as the USA South Defensive Player of the Week. He is the first LaGrange player to receive both honors. Carter became the first LaGrange player to record two safeties in a game in the Panthers' come from behind 17-13 win at Maryville. He had nine total tackles, including four for loss and three sacks. Carter also recovered a fourth-quarter fumble which led to the Panthers scoring the go-ahead touchdown.

Carter leads the Panthers' defense with 51 total tackles. He is fourth in tackles in USA South conference games with 35 total tackles.
