USA South Golf Tournament Completes Second Day

(BURLINGTON, N.C.) - The 2012 USA South Men's Golf Tournament has completed its second day of action in Burlington, N.C. at Stoney Creek Golf Club as Greensboro has extended its first round lead. The Pride sit atop the standings after 36 holes of the 54-hole event. Christopher Newport is 18 shots back in second place while Methodist is 19 strokes behind in third. Averett sits in fourth, 41 stokes back, while Ferrum rounds out the top-five, 55 strokes behind the leader.

Individually, CNU's Joseph Evans and Greensboro's Nick Peoples share the lead as they have shot a three-under par 139 through the frist two rounds. Greensboro's Josh Hudgins is third, four strokes behind while three golfers are tied for fourth, six shots back.

The tournament will continue with two more rounds through Sunday, April 15 at Stoney Creek Golf Club in Burlington, N.C.
