Evan Thorpe, Christopher Newport, Rookie of the Week

The Richmond, Virginia freshman forward helped the Captains to a 3-0 record last week by averaging 11.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest versus USA South competition as CNU secured the Conference Regular Season title. In a 93-67 win over N.C. Wesleyan, Thorpe totaled 13 points, two rebounds and one steal. In a 77-56 victory at Averett, Thorpe contributed seven points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Finally, in a 76-56 win at Ferrum, Thorpe scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Also Nominated: Bradley Robinson, Averett.
