CNU Wins USA South Men's Cross Country Championship
(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The 2012 USA South Men's Cross Country Championship took place on Saturday, October 27 at Hagan Stone Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Christopher Newport University captured the championship for the 20th consecutive season. The Captains bested second place Piedmont by 60 points. Individually, the Captains' Ray Gamache won the meet for the second consecutive year as he finished the 8,000 meter course first in a time of 26:26.
The top-seven runners at the meet were named First Team All-Conference while finishers 8-14 were awarded Second Team All-Conference accolades. The full all-conference team can be found HERE.
