OKLAHOMA CITY — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) is proud to announce the 45 players chosen for the 2018 NFCA NCAA Division III All-America softball teams. Those selected were honored Wednesday night during the NCAA Division III Championship banquet at the Sheraton Hotel Downtown in Oklahoma City.

Pfeiffer standout shortstop Vada Blue Sherrill earned NFCA Second Team All-American accolades.

Sherrill shattered the record book in her junior year. The Hiddenite, N.C. native broke the single-season team record for batting average (.508), on base percentage (.593), slugging percentage (.992), runs (64), home runs (16), runs batted in (69), total bases (129) and stolen bases (56). Sherrill earned a pair of NFCA National Player of the Week honors and also an ECAC Player of the Week. She becomes the first player to be named an All-American selection in program history.
