The Mechanicsville, Virginia senior earned a 3-0 record last week in three appearances versus USA South competition for the Captains. Hazelwood totaled 15.0 innings pitched and allowed three runs on 15 hits with three walks and two strikeouts. In a 9-0, six-inning, win over Ferrum, Hazelwood went the distance to record the shutout while allowing four hits and two walks. In a 7-1 victory over Greensboro, Hazelwood again tossed a complete-game and allowed one run on seven hits with one strikeout. Finally, in a 16-6 win over Methodist, Hazelwood earned the victory by tossing two innings and allowing two runs on four hits with one walk and one strikeout.
