The freshman third baseman fromSmithfield, Virginia went 7-for-17 (.412) with seven RBI, three runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and two walks as the Lions posted a 5-1 record last week versus USA South competition. In addition to the games versus USA South rivals, Pope collected two RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Mary Washington. In a doubleheader split with USA South rival Ferrum, Pope was a combined 4-for-6 with six RBI, three runs scored, two home runs and one walk. In a doubleheader sweep of USA South foe Greensboro, Pope was a combined 1-for-5 with one double and one walk. Finally, in a doubleheader sweep of USA South rival Methodist, Pope was a combined 2-for-5 with one run batted in and one double.
