Four USA South Women's Lacrosse Athletes Earn All-Region Honors

ATHENS, OH - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced the All-Region teams and four USA South student-atheltes were selected as second-team honorees. Christopher Newport's Ashton Marshall and junior Lauren King, along with Shenandoah's Ashley Cross and Samantha Sisson collected accolades.

Marshall led the Captains in all three top offensive categories. She finished with 86 points from 64 goals and 22 assists. Marshall was selected as the USA South Conference Player of the Year and tournament MVP.

King finished behind Marshall in points collecting 55 from 40 goals and 15 assists. King also led the team in draw controls with 58. King was a USA South First Team selection and a member of the All-Tournament team.

Cross, a goalkeeper, helped the Hornets to a program record 13 victories this season with 143 saves and 6.78 goals against average in 1080 minutes played.

Sisson led Shenandoah with 63 goals and 16 assists for 79 points. A two-time first team All-USA South honoree, Sisson scored in every game but the season opener against Division II Shepherd this season.
