Liesl Narrow Named Ferrum Head Women's Soccer Coach
FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College Director of Athletics Abe Naff has announced the promotion of Liesl Narrow to Head Women's Soccer Coach. Narrow succeeds Sandy Lagana, who resigned after five years with the program to take the same position at McDaniel College in Maryland.
Narrow joined the Ferrum coaching staff in the summer of 2011 as assistant women's soccer coach. Prior to joing the Ferrum staff, Narrow began her coaching career as an assistant at Albright College, whe she assisted in all aspects of the Division III program. Since then she has coached at two different high schools, including a four-year stint at nearby Floyd County High School as girl's soccer head coach.
A 2002 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, Narrow was an All-Conference and All-Region standout. She led the Bobcats as a four year starter from the center of the midfield. Narrow and her husband, Tim, reside in nearby Roanoke.
