Rodney Williams to Lead William Peace Cross Country teams
(RALEIGH, NC) - William Peace University has hired Rodney Williams to be its Cross Country coach for both the women's and men's teams. Williams replaces Michelle Simonson, who led the women's team last season.
"William Peace University is pleased have Coach Williams join our staff and we feel he brings the knowledge and experience we were looking for to grow both programs," Director of Athletics Kelly Johnson said. "Coach Williams has the experience of coaching both male and female athletes as well as the expertise to recruit great student-athletes."
Williams previously has been the Track coach at St. David's High School in Raleigh. He's also served as the Distance Coach for the Carolina Elite Track Club and was a volunteer coach in track at South Carolina State University.
He attended South Carolina State University on a track scholarship and earned his degree in Business Administration in 1992.
