In an 8-7 win over Emory & Henry, Hollingsworth was 1-for-2 with two runs scored, one double, three walks and three stolen bases. In a three-game sweep of USA South rival Covenant, Hollingsworth was a combined 6-for-13 with six runs scored, one run batted in, three walks and six stolen bases. In the 2-0 victory, Holland tossed seven shutout innings and allowed just three hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. In an 11-1 loss to Berry, Erves was 1-for-2 with one walk. Ryan Traylor, Averett - The freshman from Chesterfield, Virginia earned a win in a 3-1 win over USA South rival N.C. Wesleyan in his only appearance on the mound last week for the Cougars. In 24.2 innings pitched, Eckman allowed four runs, two of which were earned, on 19 hits with four walks and 20 strikeouts. Her victories came over USA South foes Agnes Scott, LaGrange and Huntingdon. In a 13-5 win over North Central, Harper scored three goals. In a 6-4 victory over USA South foe Piedmont, Harper notched three goals with one assist, two ground balls and one caused turnover. Sam Hitt, Huntingdon - The Finksburg, Maryland junior midfielder was 38-of-52 (73%) on faceoffs and collected a total of 25 ground balls as the Hawks posted a 2-1 week. In a 13-5 win over North Central, Hitt was 16-of-18 on faceoffs with 11 ground balls. In a 6-4 victory over USA South foe Piedmont, Hitt was 5-of-12 on faceoffs with four ground balls. Finally, in a 10-8 loss to Pfeiffer, Hitt was 17-of-22 on faceoffs with ten ground balls. Brendan Siemen, Methodist - The Acworth, Georgia freshman long-stick midfielder helped the Monarch defense hold their USA South opponents to seven goals in a 2-0 week. In a 10-7 victory over Greensboro, Siemen collected five ground balls and four caused turnovers. In a 21-0 victory over Averett, Siemen grabbed seven ground balls. Aditya Iyer, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Pune, India earned a 2-0 singles and doubles record last week for the Battling Bishops in two matches versus USA South foe William Peace. The singles victories were at the number-two and three positions while the doubles wins were at the number-one and two spots with J.D. Telles. Kacy Howard, Huntingdon - The junior from Tuscaloosa, Alabama earned a 4-0 record at both number-one singles and various doubles spots last week for the Hawks. The singles victories came over opponents from Rust along with USA South foes LaGrange, Berea and Maryville. In doubles, Howard teamed with Clayton Waring for wins at number-three and number-one spots and Heather Tabor for two victories at the number-two position. Also Nominated: Florencia Sorrentino, N.C. Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week
Caroline Connelly, Piedmont - The freshman from Cumming, Georgia earned a 2-0 singles and doubles record last week for the Lions versus USA South foes Wesleyan and Covenant. Connelly earned wins at both number-one and two two singles, including a match-clinching victory over Covenant. In double, Connelly teamed with Maggie Moody at the number-two spot for the victories.
