Monaco Named Director of Golf for Maryville

Maryville College Director of Athletics Kandis Schram has announced that Anthony Monaco has been named Director of Golf for the Fighting Scots.

"I am excited for our student-athletes and for Anthony as he joins our Scots family," stated Coach Schram. "I was impressed with his experience and his success in recruiting while building a competitive golf program. His enthusiasm in developing student-athletes through the sport he loves was evident. Both of our golf programs will benefit from his passion to teach."

Monaco, a 2015 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, served as the Head Men's Golf Coach at Urbana University for the past two seasons. While guiding this NCAA Division II program that established numerous school standards on the golf course, his squad achieved a cumulative 3.7 GPA in the classroom.

"I am thrilled to be announced as the next Director of Golf at Maryville College," stated Monaco. "I want to thank Kandis Schram and the Maryville College staff for giving me this opportunity to build upon the rich history that Maryville College athletics has established. I can't wait for school to start and begin working with our current golfers. I look forward to getting to know each student-athlete, identify their individual goals, create expectations, and do my best to help them achieve these goals. I look forward to sharpening our skills and competing at a high level within the NCAA Division III."

Monaco will direct both the Scots' men and women programs beginning this fall.
